Our filming notes

We arrive a day early to scout and film the welcome dinner. The terrace ceremony faces east, so morning or late-afternoon ceremonies work best. The vineyard rows make the most beautiful walking shot we know.

The vineyard is gold from 6pm in September.

If it rains

The limonaia, with its long windows and terracotta floor.

Planner’s tip

Build in a slow lunch; the light after three o’clock is too hard for portraits anyway.
