Real wedding: a winter elopement at Castell Eryr
Twelve guests, a frozen lake and vows by the fire while the snow came in sideways.

Clara and Henry booked us in October for a date in late January, with one condition: no matter the weather, the vows would happen outside.
They nearly did. The snow arrived at eleven, sideways, and the celebrant moved everyone to the great hall fire with about four minutes’ notice. It is still our favourite ceremony of the year.
We filmed the lake at first light, the twelve guests walking up from the village, and a supper that went on until two.
