Real wedding: Priya & Tom at The Cartwright Rooms
Two families, three languages and a set of Georgian steps that everyone ended up dancing on.
Priya and Tom wanted a film their grandparents could follow, whatever language they spoke. So we filmed the speeches in full and subtitled them in English, Gujarati and Welsh.
The day started with a mehndi breakfast and ended on the steps of The Cartwright Rooms, where the DJ’s speakers were carried outside at midnight.
The feature film runs twenty-one minutes. Tom’s gran has watched it, by her count, forty times.
